Well I tried to keep up with the thought of the day while I was gone but for some reason my schedule was thrown off so today I will be catching up.  So here I go.  Today I am going to tell you about Swagbuck. What is Swagbucks? Swagbucks is a search engine. It is powered by Google and Ask.com. It is no different than searching on any other search engine except that you have the chance to win Swagbucks. Swagbucks are like points that you can turn in for cash or gift cards. Unlike other online point systems, it doesn’t take months and months to earn a gift card. Most people can earn a gift card a month through regular searching. If you take part in all their other ways to earn points, you can earn multiple gift cards every month!  I use it to get $5 Amazon cards that I can use on practically anything.  It's super easy, I promise.  If I can do it you can too.

Thought of the Day - Day 11

Remember that you can significantly impact your family’s financial situation by how much money you spend at the grocery store. The amount of money we spend on groceries is one of the very few things in our family budget that we have complete control over. We cannot easily change our mortgage payment, utility bills, telephone charges, or amount that we spend on gas each week. However we can significantly impact our family’s entire budget by choosing to carefully shop at the grocery store. Determine what you want to spend, stick to it, and change your budget in 2011!

Don’t quit just because you have one bad experience.  You will have those people who stare at you, think you are crazy and even treat you rudely.  Sometimes this will even be the cashier.  They don't have to make your ends meet but you do.  Stick to it.

Shop without your children.  It is hard to concentrate on getting deals while trying to  make sure that your children don't throw junk food in the cart.  All the fussing and fighting will drive you insane.  If you must bring your children teach them to help you or keep them distracted.
